Around 5:45 p.m., the suspect was seen speeding along the 405 Freeway, evading law enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Crash Leads to Foot Chase at Santa Monica Pier<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As the suspect entered Santa Monica, they rear-ended another vehicle on a busy surface street. Abandoning their van, they attempted to escape on foot but quickly surrendered to police near the Santa Monica Pier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Law enforcement from Simi Valley led the pursuit, which involved multiple close calls, including a sideswipe collision with another vehicle and near-misses with pedestrians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
