Los Angeles is preparing to make history as it becomes the third city ever to host the Summer Olympic Games for a third time. LA28 has revealed a wide-ranging list of venues across the region that will spotlight the city\u2019s dynamic energy, iconic landmarks, and sporting legacy to a global audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Citywide Olympic Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

LA28\u2019s updated plan, recently approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), outlines a decentralized approach, utilizing existing facilities and well-known locations throughout Los Angeles County\u2014from beaches and city centers to valleys and theme parks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Karen Bass emphasized the city\u2019s commitment to a truly inclusive and geographically diverse Olympic experience, saying that neighborhoods from the Sepulveda Basin to Venice Beach will be part of this international showcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Olympic Venues and Sports Highlights<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area<\/strong>
This San Fernando Valley site will host Olympic events for the first time ever. High-energy competitions including 3×3 basketball, modern pentathlon, BMX freestyle and racing, and skateboarding (both park and street) will be held here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Universal Studios Lot<\/strong>
Squash will make its Olympic debut on the famous Universal Studios Lot, adding a cinematic touch to the competition atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Venice Beach<\/strong>
The triathlon, previously in Long Beach, will move to Venice Beach. This popular coastal spot will also serve as the starting point for marathon and road cycling courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

USC Sports Center<\/strong>
Rhythmic gymnastics will be hosted at USC\u2019s premier facility, which will also stage badminton events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peacock Theater and Arena in Downtown L.A.<\/strong>
Boxing will return to the Olympic program with preliminaries at Peacock Theater and final matches at the Arena. These venues will also feature artistic gymnastics, trampoline, and weightlifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dodger Stadium<\/strong>
Baseball is back in the Olympics\u2014and it\u2019s returning to the legendary Dodger Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trestles Beach in San Clemente<\/strong>
Surfing will take place at Trestles Beach, offering a quintessential Southern California vibe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pomona Fairgrounds<\/strong>
Cricket returns to the Olympic Games for the first time in over 100 years, hosted at a temporary venue at the Pomona Fairgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long Beach Venues<\/strong>
Alamitos Beach will showcase beach volleyball, while coastal rowing and open water swimming will take place nearby. The Convention Center Lot will host sport climbing and target shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shotgun Center in South El Monte<\/strong>
Shotgun shooting disciplines will be conducted here in a purpose-built venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carson Sports Complex<\/strong>
The city of Carson will host archery and rugby sevens tournaments within its sports facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Center in Anaheim<\/strong>
Anaheim will step into the Olympic spotlight for the first time, hosting indoor volleyball at the Honda Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Anita Park in Arcadia<\/strong>
Equestrian events will return to this iconic racetrack, which also hosted the sport in the 1984 Games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
