The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is actively searching for the driver, who fled the scene after the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Incident Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The hit-and-run occurred near the intersection of Nadeau Street and Croesus Avenue in the Florence-Graham neighborhood. CHP reported that the driver of a black 2025 BMW was heading eastbound on Nadeau Street at approximately 10 to 12 mph. Meanwhile, the teenager, later identified as Sebastian Carrillo, was biking westbound on the sidewalk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without warning, the driver veered onto the curb and struck Carrillo, knocking him and his bicycle to the ground. The driver did not stop and continued driving eastbound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Injuries and Recovery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Carrillo sustained minor-to-moderate injuries, including a concussion, and was transported to the hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department. He is now recovering at home, though his mother says he is still experiencing symptoms from the concussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Investigation Ongoing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CHP continues to investigate the crash and is seeking help from the public. Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer J. Knodel or a member of the Special Investigations Unit at the CHP South Los Angeles Area office at (424) 551-4000.
