A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of American Idol<\/em> music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, inside their luxury home in Encino, Los Angeles. The suspect, Raymond Boodarian of Reseda, allegedly broke into the residence and shot the couple as they returned home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The entertainment industry was shocked by the deaths of Robin Kaye, a respected music supervisor with American Idol<\/em> since 2009, and her husband Tom. The couple was found with multiple gunshot wounds in separate rooms of their home. “Robin was truly loved and respected by all who worked with her,” said a representative from American Idol<\/em>. “She will remain in our hearts forever.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Los Angeles Police Department received two calls on Thursday, July 10, about a possible burglary involving a suspect seen jumping the home’s fence. However, due to no visible signs of break-in and high security, officers left the scene. Days later, on Monday, July 14, police were called again for a welfare check after family members couldn\u2019t reach the couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Upon entering the home, officers discovered both victims deceased. Surveillance footage later revealed that the suspect had entered the home through an unlocked entry point on July 10 and remained inside until the victims returned, leading to a deadly confrontation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n LAPD detectives used home surveillance footage and forensic evidence to identify Boodarian. He was arrested without incident at his residence on Vanowen Street the following day. Authorities say the suspect acted alone, had no connection to the victims, and does not appear to be tied to any known burglary rings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Though he has a prior criminal record, this was reportedly his first offense involving burglary. Investigators are still searching for the murder weapon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Neighbors and those familiar with the couple expressed heartbreak and disbelief.
