Teen Cyclist Injured in South LA Hit-and-Run; Authorities Search for Driver

Teen Struck While Riding on Sidewalk

A 15-year-old boy is recovering after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle on the sidewalk in South Los Angeles. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is actively searching for the driver, who fled the scene after the crash.

Incident Details

The hit-and-run occurred near the intersection of Nadeau Street and Croesus Avenue in the Florence-Graham neighborhood. CHP reported that the driver of a black 2025 BMW was heading eastbound on Nadeau Street at approximately 10 to 12 mph. Meanwhile, the teenager, later identified as Sebastian Carrillo, was biking westbound on the sidewalk.

Without warning, the driver veered onto the curb and struck Carrillo, knocking him and his bicycle to the ground. The driver did not stop and continued driving eastbound.

Injuries and Recovery

Carrillo sustained minor-to-moderate injuries, including a concussion, and was transported to the hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department. He is now recovering at home, though his mother says he is still experiencing symptoms from the concussion.
